Coping Skills

Here is a list of coping skills that work for me, again we are all different.  Feel free to steal any and all of my ideas and make them your own! Coping is about what works for us.  Some people may have a glass of wine to unwind, one glass of anything for me turns into a shit show so drinking doesn't make my coping skills list, but if alcohol can help you relax and you can maintain self-control, feel free to add it to yours!

  • Text a friend
  • Read a book
  • Watch my FAVORITE TV show/ movie
  • Watch a NEW TV show/ movie
  • Self-care (facial, shave, hot shower, etc.)
  • Take a bike ride
  • Play with my pets!
  • Create (draw, paint, write)
  • Try something new!
  • Cook my favorite meal
